Black Ash Burl Handle Old Nicholson file drop point hunter

This is another custom MAB small hunting knife made from a old Nicholson file by me, Mark Buzzell (MAB), I annealed, Ground and heat treated this on right here in the shop. This custom knife is 6-3/4 inches overall with a 3″ inch carbon steel blade with a 2-3/4″ inch cutting edge, and 1/8″ thick, 1″ inch wide with a 58 Rockwell hardness. The handle is made from some great looking stabilized double dyed Black ash burl wood. The handle on this one fits perfect in your hand as well. The custom knife is a full tang construction with two custom pins. This one’s built nice and rugged so it will hold up when you’re using it in the field. The custom knife has been hand sanded from 220 to 2,000 grit for a mirror shine on the handle, the blade has a satin finish sanded at 600 grit, the top of the knife still shows the old file notches, The custom knife will come with the custom leather sheath made by Carl Thomas of Mississippi to fit your knife nice and snug. The knife will also ship with a zip up knife case for storing your custom knife when it’s not in use. All my custom knives come with a hand signed COA and DVD telling more about the custom knife, when it was made time spent and so on.
