BOXELDER BURL HANDLE DAMASCUS BLADE HUNTER FILE WORKED BLADE

This is a custom Damascus drop point blade hunter made from a damascus billett from days gone by when I was first learning to grind blades. this is one of the last early made knives left in my collection and now it’s time to pass it on, This one was built back in the begining of 2004 It has a file worked blade in the “S”pattern, The Damascus blade is a 412 fold random wave pattern and was groung and shaped to the blade you see today and heat treated to a rockwell 58, acid etched and polished then gun blued to show off the damascus pattern, Knife is 7-3/8″ inches overall with a 3-1/2″ inch blade with a 3″ inch cutting edge and 7/8″ inch wide and just under 3/16” inch thick, The knife handle is made from double dyed Boxelder burl with a knife looking burl, The knife is a full tang construction with 3 custom handle pins so it will hold up in the feild if you decide to give it some use. All the file work was done by hand with a round chainsaw file and a half moon file, No dremel tool here, So with all this said keep in mind this was one of my very first knives to be hand ground on the new 72 inch grizzly grinder so its not perfect but a darn good looking knife ready to work in the field. It’s time to let it go from my personal collection were it just sits on a shelf and let someone take it out and make some memmories with this great custom knife from years gone by, Knife will come with the brown leather sheath made by Carl Thomas of Mississippi, Knife will ship in a zip up knife case and come with a hand signed coa telling more about the knife and a DVD about the shop and the knives built here in the shop. Shipping is $6.00 for priority mail with insurance and signature conformation. Sorry no international sales
