This is another custom MAB bird trout hunting knife made from a high carbon steel billet (old nicholson file) by me, Mark Buzzell (MAB), right here in Maine. This custom knife is 6-7/8 inches overall with a 3-3/4 inch blade 1/8 thick, 5/8 inch wide with a 3″ inch cutting edge. The blade has a 58 rockwell hardness. The blade has been hand sanded to 2000 grit and then polished to a mirror finish. The handle is made from some very nice aged India stag and a piece of recon leopard jasper in the front to show off the stag.. The knife is a sub tang construction with a sterling silver pommel cap. I also hand filed the top of the knife blade with my “vine thorn” pattern. All my file work is done by hand with a chainsaw file and a small triangle file, not with a dremel like some builders call file worked, knife is stamped with my MAB logo as the maker of this fine custom knife. Your knife will come with the custom leather sheath made by Carl Thomas of Mississippi to fit your custom knife nice and snug, and it will also ship in a zip up knife case for storing your custom knife when it's not in use. All my custom knives come with a hand signed COA and DVD telling more about the knife, when it was made time spent and so on.
