CARBON STEEL TIGER MAPLE W/ FOSSIL CORAL HANDLE BIRD TROUT KNIFE

This is another custom MAB Bird trout style hunting knife made from a high carbon steel billet (old nicholson file) by me, Mark Buzzell (MAB), right here in CArmel Maine. This Bird trout knfe is 7″ inches overall with a 3-3/16 inch blade, 3″ inch cuttin edge 1/8 thick, 5/8 inch wide with a 58 rockwell hardness. The blade has been hand sanded to 2000 grit and then polished to a mirror finish. The handle is made from some very nice stabilized fossil coral and Stabilized dark tiger maple burl wood.. The fossil coral used is from oceans around the worl and will date from 15,000 to 20,000 years old. The knife is a rat tang construction with a corby nut in the end, so it will hold up when you're using it in the field. I also hand filed the top of the knife blade with my “walking lizard” pattern. All my file work is done by hand with a chainsaw file and a small triangle file, not with a dremel like some builders call file worked, knife is stamped with my MAB logo as the maker of this fine knife. The knife guard, pommel and Brass spacers are all made from flat bar and sheet stock and shaped by hand to the knife. Your knife will come with the custom leather sheath made by Carl Thomas of Mississippi to fit your knife nice and snug, and it will also ship in a zip up knife case for storing your custom knife when it's not in use. All my custom knives come with a hand signed COA and a dvd telling more about the knife, when it was made time spent and so on. This one of a kind should last a good many lifetimes and would make a great knife for the hunter that should have the very best. Shipping is $6.00 for priority mail with signature conformation and insurance. SORRY NO INTERNATIONAL SALES
