This custom knife is a MAB drop point Style knife, This one has it all, The custom knife is made from 52100 bearing steel, The custom knife was hand ground from bar stock, and the blade was done in a soft hollow grind style, Then polished, oil quenched hardened And tempered to a Rockwell hardness of 60. The handle on this custom knife is made from stabilized and dyed star pattern masur birch, Wow what a burl this one has, In the sun it has about 1/8″ inch of depth for unreal 3d colors as you roll the handle back and forth, You can see right down into the burl. The custom knife is 8-1/8″ inches overall with a 3-7/8″ inch blade with a 3-1/2″ inch cutting edge, and 1″ inch wide and a rugged Heavy 3/16″ inch thick, The custom brass guard, pommel and spacers are made from sheet and bar stock and shaped by hand to the knife for a perfect fit and finish. I put some file work to make this a real custom knife, The file work I used on this one is my “Double Wave” pattern going down the blade. All my file work is done by hand with a chainsaw file and a half round file, “Not” with a dremel tool like some custom knife builders call file work. The custom knife was hand sanded from 220 grit to 2,000 grit to put a mirror finish on the blade and handle then put on the buffing wheel for a final shine, The custom knife sheath was made by Carl Thomas of Mississippi to make for a perfect fit, So as you can see I put a lot of time into this custom knife from the fit and finish to the file work to make this a collectors investment piece or a everyday user to pass down to future generations to enjoy, This one will be the custom knife to enjoy the top spot in your knife collection.
