CUSTOM BLUE MAMMOTH TOOTH DAMSCUS DROP POINT HUNTER

This is a custom Damascus drop point blade hunter made from a dasmcus blank from days gone by when i was only a handle maker, I now grind all my own blades and this is one of the last early made knives left in my collection and now it’s time to pass it on, This one was built back in the begining of 2007 It has a file worked blade in the “reverse vine”pattern and a “vine” pattern file worked spacer at the end, the Mammoth tooth is dyed blue and is stabilzed to make it as tuff as possible the cocobolo wood makes for a great looking knife, Nickle silver guard and brass with aluminum spacers are all from flat bar and sheet stock and shaped by hand to the knife. The Damascus blade is a 412 fold random wave pattern and was heat treated to a rockwell 58, Knife is 8-7/8″ inches overall with a 4-1/4″ inch blade with a 3-1/2″ inch cutting edge and 1-1/4″ inch wide and 3/16″ inch thick, The knife is a rat tang construction with a corby nut in the end so it will hold up in the feild if you decide to give it some use. All the file work was done by hand with a round chainsaw file and a half moon file, No dremel tool here, Knife will come with the brown leather sheath made by Carl Thomas of Mississippi, Knife will ship in a zip up knife case and come with a hand signed coa telling more about the knife and a DVD about the shop and the knives built here in the shop.
