FEATHER DAMASCUS BLADE IRONWOOD WITH MAMMOTH IVORY HANDLE

This custom MAB Damascus hunter is made by me, Mark Buzzell (MAB), right here in Maine. This Custom knife has a feather damascus blade that is a 200 plus fold “feather” pattern damascus, The knife is 8″ inches overall with a 4 inch blade, 3-1/2 inch cutting edge, 1-7/16 inch wide and just under 3/16 thick. The custom knife blade is marked with my MAB logo as the maker of this fine custom knife. This knife was made from a bar stock damascus billet. The knife billets are shaped, ground, polished, oil quenched hardened and tempered to rockwell 58, then acid etched to help bring out the damascus pattern. Then gun blued and given one final polish. This one has a very nice contrast in the damascus making it a real eye catcher. The handle on this one is made from a great looking stabilized mammoth ivory spacer with some exhibition grade Arizona desert ironwood, The ivory will date from 30,000 to 50,000 thousad years old and was found in the permafrost area of Siberia Russia, Any checks or natural cracks have been filled and stabilized, The Arizona ironwood with all the figure just adds the extra look, The Knife is a rat tang construction with a corby style nut in the pommel so it will hold up in the field if you decide to give it some use. I also hand filed the top of the blade in my “Sharp Thorn” pattern, And the handle spacer in my “Vine” pattern all my file work is done by hand with a chainsaw file and a small triangle file, not with a dremel tool like some custom knife builders like to call extensive file work!!!! Give me a break…I put a lot of time into every one of my custom knives from fitting and finish to the file work, so every custom knife can be a collectors piece or a working knife. This one will fit great in your hand, this is your chance to own a real quality handmade custom knife.. The knife will ship with custom fit leather sheath made by Carl Thomas. The knife will also ship in a zip up custom knife case. All my custom made knives come with a hand signed COA and a DVD telling more about the knife, when it was taken off the bench, time spent building and more. USA buyers $6.00 shipping with insurance.
