MAPLE BURL WOOD HANDLE BIRD TROUT KNIFE WITH SPIDER WEB MALACHITE STONE SPACER CARBON TOOL STEEL BLADE

This is another custom MAB Bird Trout hunting knife made from carbon tool steel (Old File), by me Mark Buzzell (MAB) right here in Carmel Maine. This Bird Trout knife is 7-1/4″ inches overall with a 3-1/4″ inch tool steel blade with a 3″ inch cutting edge 1/16″ inch thick 9/16″ inch wide with a rockwell hardness of 58. The handle is made from some great looking stabilized Maple burl wood with some recon Spider web malachite stone. The brass guard, Pommel and brass spacers are all made from flat bar and sheet stock and shaped by hand to the knife. The handle on this one fits just great in your hand for a snug grip. Knife is a rat tang construction with a corby nut in the end so it will hold up if you decide to give it some use in the field. The knife has also been hand sanded from 220 grit to 2,000 grit for a mirror finish on the blade and a glass look on the handle. What makes this knife kind of special is this is the first blade I made on the new grizzly grinder when I was first leaning to grind blades, so it’s not a perfect grind and does have a little charcter making it a great piece to look at, the knife was made back in 2006 and it has been in my private collection and it is now time to let someone else enjoy it and give it some use, it has sat on the shelf long enough.. so as you can see I put a lot of time into every one of my knives from fit and finish, To file work, So each knife can be used in the field or saved as a collectors piece for years to come. Your knife’s custom sheath was made by Carl Thomas of mississippi. Your knife will ship in a zip up knife case and come with a coa and a dvd telling more about the knife, Time spent when it was made and so on. This one of a kind should last a good many life times. Shipping is $6.00 for priority mail with signature conformation and insurance. SORRY NO INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING
